New Year's Walk 2026

Join us on our annual walk to get moving after the festive break and explore the footpaths, lanes and local history of Privett, rounded off with warm, home made soup and bread in our cozy village hall!

About the event
The plan is to gather at Privett Village Hall at 10.15am and then walk for between an hour and a half and two hours. A lunch of bread and soup will be served at PVH after the walk.
Dogs on leads are very welcome - children too!
The walk will finish at Fawley Farm, and then we will walk to the field opposite the Village Hall to plant a tree (a hornbeam) in memory of Bridget Kindler. We shall also hand over, into the custody of Andrea Povey, the Shield purchased by the Village Hall, to be known as the Bridget Kindler Shield, which will be presented to a winning competitor in the gymkhana held each July at Fawley Farm.
